grass anyone?

what do you use for grass, I dont know what to use?

For lawn, I use the WS Static Grass in the shake on container. For pasture land, I use a mix of ground foam, static grass, and left over stuff from the WS flocking made for trees. For fields of oats, wheat, and the like, I use the WS tall grass cut to size.

hard to see but the lawn around the buildings were made this way:

This is a field of wheat ready for harvest:

Go here and do a quick search on static grass: http://www.walthers.com

I use faux fur I have colored.

I use fake fur, silflor, static grass, and sweatshirt material. I cover all of these in my scenery clinic, found here: http://mymemoirs.net/model-trains/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=157

For long grass use hemp rope planted on bundles into a plaster (precoloured /earth colour) mix.
For short grass use teddy bear fur (Test it for painting / not glueing into lumps first).

In both cases trim to lemgth once it’s all dry.

(the rope can/should also be pre-coloured… but it’s usually a good yellow grass’wheat colour).

Pictures above look great!

It might be wise not to be overhead telling someone that you are “going to do some grass (or hemp0 in the train room…” [:)]

I also cover plush felt as grass in my web article

When colored it makes excellent grass, it is the grass on the hill above the locomotive
