I’m sure we’ve all used various types of plastic boxes for storage of our parts. I have started using Plano ProLatch boxes and discovered that I needed more dividers than were supplied. The customer service from these folks just amazed me!! Late last night I e-mailed them asking how much for additional dividers. At 6:28am their time (Illinois) they em’d me back asking how many!! I replied, and in about an hour they replied that they were sending them out - NO COST!! Check out the different storage devices they make - AND THEY’RE MADE IN THE USA!!http://www.planomolding.com/content/index.cfm . The model 2-3700 is approx 8 1/4" x 14" x 1 1/2", and can hold up to 43 HO automobiles. The model 2-3730 is approx 3" deep, and will hold most HO rolling stock, including 85’ passenger cars. I bought mine at Kmart, but you can also get them at Wmart, Sears, and sporting goods and hardware stores (not HD or Lowes). I would rate these at at least [tup][tup]
One of our ex club members used the same type of boxes to store HO scale cars and the club itself uses them to store wood bundles for our lumber yard and other pieces for our layout we take to shows. I’ve been meaning to pick up a few myself.
