Great site for signs and symbols

I was looking for sports logos the other day and stumbled across www.vectorportal.com. They have a ton of sports logo.

Now you’re probably wondering why I’m posting this here. Well they have a great section that’s all symbols and signs. http://www.vectorportal.com/symbols/ They have all kinds of road signs, passenger signs, and hotel signs. They’d be great for anyone that needs any road signs or anything else like that.

The good news is that they all completely scalable without any quality loss. If they’re 2" large when you download them, you can scale them down to whatever size, and they’ll be just as crisp (you can make them larger too if you find a good one for a billboard or something).
The bad news is that you’ll need something that reads vector files. That’s like Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Freehand or Corel Draw. You SHOULD be able to open them in Adobe Photoshop, Jasc PaintShop Pro, Corel Photopaint etc., too but I’m not 100% certain if they can scale them properly as well. I have Illustrator, so I haven’t tried using them in anything else.

Hopefully some of you guys (and gals) find this site useful.

Kevin,

Great link! Here is another list of applications that can open the file types of these logos:

Adobe Photoshop Elements
CorelDRAW
IrfanView32
Microsoft Digital Imaging Pro
Microsoft Visio

InfranView is supposed to be a shareware application for viewing the files. I know with Adobe , CorelDRAW, and Visio the images can be manlipulated, but I am not sure with the Digital Imaging Pro.

UPDATE: I just completed a free download of InfranView from their web site http://www.irfanview.com/ and the plugin and installed both files and was able to open and change the size of one of the .esp files successfully.

Great link Chewie! I had a link with a bunch of free ware signs, but my FRACKING computer chrashed and I lost them all…[:(]
I know that there are some instant sign shops on the web that have pretty hi-res artwork you can download.
Now I just have to save the money for a hi-res laser printer.

Interesting stuff, a lots of useful items in there, thanks.
