I took a shot of an eastbound UP stacker with Sparks/Reno NV as a backdrop. I think it’s a great view of the area, take a quck look and see what you think.

Well, I certainly agree…a very nice photograph. Nice rich colors and such a backdrop for your total photo…Really great.
Wonder what the elevation is at this location…With all that snow up on the higher mountain tells me it’s up there a bit.
Are those solar panels on the long roof on the building in the photo’s center…or maybe just skylights.
Answering Modelcar’s question, I doubt that they’re skylights because the installation pattern looks too irregular. Also, I doubt that they’re solar panels because for maximum efficiency they’d be painted a much darker color. My guess is this: those green panels atop the long roof may actually be photovoltaic cells.
Other than that, 'tis indeed a great photo at Sparks. Rich colors and a thoroughly respectable composition make this a worthwhile exposure. Too bad the weather couldn’t have been nicer that day (LOL).
Boy, that’s a big little city! [;)]
And a nice shot of it!
