Does this , or did this paint scheme really exist. I’ve never seen it?

Yes this scheme did exist, I have a photo of CP 3005 in the same colors. Think it/they were locos taken over from E&N Rail on Vancouver Island, a CP subsidy, and painted temporarily like this. The photo I have is not mine, I got it off the Net so I’d rather not post it here.
I did CP Sd40-2’s in all white and all black schemes some years ago, the white ones came from Kansas City Southern, the black ones from Norfolk Southern. They were later painted CP’s standard colors.
The green ones are new on me. Being a KCS nut, I knew about the white ones. Nice to know I’m not the only one who knew.
