Matt and I noticed on our way back home in Bryan ohio some green signs with “R” along the ns rails.is that for a railgrinder?anyway we also noticed the trackwork and new signals along US 6 for the new connections at Butler Indiana too.

A green sign, if it has an arrow pointed up means to “Resume Speed”. From what you say, I can only guess that is what this sign means.

correct its placed at end of temporary speed restrictions or work zones.
it denotes to crew that once the train is passed the sign normal speed can be resuimed.
