Greetings from Afganistan

Grenadier Mike -

Can’t say more than Garry and all the others, except [bow] and thanks. I’d second the suggestion on getting a Walthers catalog (new ones should be out here in another month or so, not sure how long to get to Afghanistan). You might email Walthers and ask them - and they might decide to send you and your buddies a free one (or a case of 'em). That’s a good idea to be setting back funds for the MRR’ing stuff once you get back and have a better idea of the territory you can claim for your layout. [tup]

Blessings and prayers,

Grenadier,

As an ‘ole sea dog’ from the dark ages, THANKS!

You and all your buddies ‘keep yer heads down and yer powder dry!’ and come home safe knowing that you are doing a heck of a job that is well appreciated!

I just want to say it too. May you be home to play trains soon!

Sorry, no intel on the Chessie version. I did the Iraq deployment a few years ago and this forum was a God send giving me a chance to escape (at least virtually) for a little bit. Good idea on the saving back a bit of the deployment cash, my wife did that for me and hooked me up with a few goodies that were released while I was downrange.

Let us know if you need anything

Keep safe and God Bless.

Hi!

A hearty and sincere Texas sized “THANK YOU” for your and your comrades service!!!

Please keep your head down, your eyes/ears open, watch where you walk/drive, and NEVER wander off alone or unarmed.

It’s a good thing to have a hobby like MR, as it will sure help you reacclimate to civilian life and/or being home again. In the meantime, don’t be a stranger on this Forum!

Be safe, and God Bless !!!
