Slight correction: Detroit’s Airport is not Detroit International. It is Detroit Metropolitan Wayne Country Airport.
Can be a great benifit for the Detroit area. Sounds like it shoud be called “Ford Station”
This is a good move for Camp Dearborn. Now if we can just people mover folks over to/from the airport that would be a grand alternative for limousines and shuttles.
I grew up in Ann Arbor, and the Henry Ford museum is a very useful tool for school field trips. One day trips could easily be made by train from a number of western Michigan cities to accomodate school children on the weekdays. Perhaps an “early bird” departure for the morning train out of Chicago and an early afternoon mid-day train could easily fit the schedule for school field trips during the week, once the track upgrade project is finished between Kalamazoo and Dearborn.
