I should think that the RAPS would reach out and invite the Amarillo Railroad Museum and the Santa Fe Railway Historical Society to help promote this project. If it has been done, great. If not, is it going to be a “I did it MY way” to insure they take all the credit?
With continued inflated costs in all sectors it is time for historical socities and museums to consider working together for a common cause to prevent one or the other from vanishing from the scene.
A prime example: Museum of the American Railroad in Frisco, TX and Texas State Railroad in Palestine, TX! T&P 2-10-4 #610 belongs in the greater D/FW area and should have never left!
