Guess the station: 1

First of all, a big thanks to Ian Brown for submitting this idea and the photos. We’re going to try a new game here on GR.com. I’ve posted an article with photos of a station somewhere in the world with a clue. Can you guess where it’s located and the name? Additional clues will be posted (see the text for the date of when), and the answer will be posted about a week from now.

Let’s have some fun! And if you have photos of a station or other prototype area you have visited, let me know for future installments of this game!

Venecia, Italia

It is “Stazione F.S. Venezia S. Lucia”, directly on the “Canale Grande”.

That prominent “FS” (Ferrovie Stato) on the building is a dead give-away. Perhaps you run the next one through Photo-Shop to get rid of the most obvious tell-tale signs.
Placing a big grinning smilie instead of the “FS” would have done the trick. [:o)][:o)]
Or even better yet, insert a “DSB” and people would be really wondering if it isn’t Copenhagen. [;)][:D][:D]

You guys are too good! RhB, perhaps the next one will go through Photoshop–good idea. I’ll still have it updated with more clues for those who don’t see the forum.

Maybe the next one you might only be able to see the platform!

Ian,

That’s OK. If there’s a platform there most likely is track (I hope) and catenary or other tell-tale stuff.[:)][:)]

Hi Rene,
Great idea Ian! Looking forward to the next one. Later eh…Brian.
