Guess what time it is! (Seasonal photo)

I will smack the first person to say tool time. Then give them a dollar.

We had a good dump over the weekend, with over a foot on the ground at the pass.

I think the lake effect folks east of Lakes Erie and Ontario beat you. I got one first-hand report of 17" in the SW Adirondacks. Glad we’re not running up in that section any more…

Our local snow generator is working at full tilt on the folks in northwestern Indiana and southwestern Lower Michigan. Our radio is reporting that Valpo and Chesterton are expecting five to eight inches total (with most of that already having fallen). Meanwhile, I see nothing but blue skies, less than an hour’s drive away from this area. Were I at work, I’d be looking at an impressive dark backdrop for the Chicago skyline.

…I heard them say on MSNBC a while ago over 2’ of snow dumped on the Great Lakes area and it was heading south towards WV.

We here {central Indiana}, did get a skiff of the white stuff to just cover the ground overnight but sunny skies are allowing the sun to work on it and it will ge gone soon despite our 24.1 degrees earlier this morning.

Oneupsmanship aside, I’ve worked on our tourist railroad in the snow. It’s not exactly fun, and I have nothing but respect for the folks who do it day in and day out.

Well then, after reading your caption to the above photo, how about:

Nice shot !!![8D]

With my day going the way it is, I cannot tell you how much I was hoping you were going to say Miller time.

Great shot, Matt. We have 22 inches here, thanks to Lake Erie. Somehow I can’t get motivated to take my camera out in the cold and shoot trains. Too cold, too soon. The good news is there will likely be a thaw before winter really digs in next month. That is a thaw here in western New York, not in the Canadian Rockies!

Matt, your photos always leave a strong impression on me. Great work.

We have yet to see any of the white stuff here in Southern New England, but we are hunkering down for a nice week of 40deg F weather. Hopefully we’ll avoid any big nor’easters until Christmas rolls around.
