Gulf Breeze & Holley 1st Run!!!!!!

From The office

Gulf Breeze & Holley Railroad.

Today 8/1/2012 the Gulf Breeze and Holley Railroad made it’s 1st Run! “Today is the day we’ve been dreaming of for over two years!” said Railroad President K.T. Cupplar.

This log of the 1st complete opp session!

We started a train in Ada.(pronounced A duh) The train on GBH tracks passed over the Governor Kyle Kessler Bridge and into Gulf Breeze. It dropped cars there for True Grit Paper and picked up empty pulpwood and hoppers headed for Sly Stone & Timber. Leaving Gulf Breeze, on CSX/NS Leased track, the train worked the siding at Riverside and dropped three cars, then was on it’s way to Holley. GBH Train 100 dropped it’s empty cars at Sly Stone and executed a runaround for the return trip. Sly switcher pulled loaded pulpwood cars and added them to the end of some loaded fine sand cars. Then the return trip to Gulf Breeze. In Gulf Breeze the train dropped the loaded pulpwood and sand cars for the local switcher. Picked up a couple box cars for return to Hight Price Freight in Ada.

That was the first working run of the GBH! August 1st 2112 !!!

Nice.

Congratulations Skipper !!! [:D]

It is a great sense of pride and accomplishment when our layouts make their first revenue run.

Well done

Congratulations from the Santa Vaca and Santa Fe. (Holy Cow!) We’ll have to get running here so we can send our traffic development rep over to see what kind of interchange traffic we can rustle up.
