Heres the link to a video which is very disturbing. A guy puts a microwave on a track and a train runs it over. then he tries to throw steel posts under the train, and manages to get one under. he said he got a waterheater, but decided not to put it in the track.

I think you should call the police, or perhaps the RR company (the Big’s have their alert-and-accident “800” numbers online; I don’t know about the short-lines).

All I get when I click the link is a promotional video for the GEVO locomotive. Anyway, I found some videos similar to the one you described a while back and with a little research (Google Earth) I was able to find out exactly where the videos were made. This person was placing watermelons, shopping carts, microwaves, TVs and even a refrigerator on the tracks then filming trains crashing into them. I contacted the local police department and the CSX 800 hotline and reported it to them. I never heard anything back from either of them and about a month later the videos were still there, so I have no idea what action (if any) was ever taken.

People like this are the ones that usually come up with unique ways of removing themselves from the gene pool to become Darwin Award nominees. (he’d better be glad that pipe didn’t bounce off the car wheel and crack him in the head!)

I hope they aren’t railfans I know. Here’s what I can imagine happening. CSX crews are calling them in and the local police are aware of this eaning it’s just a matter of time before they get caught, hopefully before they are hurt or killed or before their actions hurt or kill an innocent person. |

The guy actually gives a lot of evidence where he is. In the pumpkin video, he mentions a “Kroger on Grand River and Beck.” He says that as he was putting the pumpkins in his car, someone from the store saw him and he “peeled” out of there. In the microwave video, he mentions the train is heading to somewhere called Lyons. He says it’s near a trailer park and from the video, it appears they are standing under a highway bridge. Joe H. |

Yep, for sure…but have you ever noticed how morons / mental midgets like that guys always seem to have enough brain power to overcome every obstacle meant to deter them from doing harm to others and others property?
But when the judge sees the video, it would pretty much shut down the kid’s case.

Yep this is the guy that I reported back last year. If you do a serach in Google Maps for “charing cross, northville, mi 48167” you will get almost the exact location. This road is the overpass that can be seen in the videos. Last year I reported this to the Northville, MI police and called the CSX 800 hotline. The CSX hotline seemed like an answering service as they just took my info and said they would followup. Never heard anything back from either the police or CSX. I don’t see the refrigerator video any more but looks like there is a new one as of last week so not sure if anything was ever done about this. Jamie
