Has anyone done a haloween train for their layout? For example, take some gondolas and put hay and pumpkins in it and have the locomotive wearing a banner, “Happy Haloween, Bell City” and then the name of your layout’s town.[8D]

No, but it might be nice. It would kinda be like the scenic style railroads. You might need a dinning car though so they can serve hot pumpkin and apple pie. Oh yeah need coffee too.
I have a christmas themed train set with a boston red sox theme. Recieved it through mail order. Nice little set, but it is more of a collectors item, than something that I would run on a regular basis.
Purkey’s Toy Trains has a Halloween Train. It uses a custom painted F40 locomotive, has a flat car with two caskets, another with a hearse, a gondola with pumpkins, and a custom painted caboose. I think another car will be added, a Transylvania Blood Bank tanker. It looks pretty cool. Sometimes, a Lionel Phantom III will pull it.
What about a tissue on a string with a bit wadded at the top? Cheap ghost, eh?
