This is the type of in flight comedy that SOUTHWEST Airlines is known for. I find it rather irritating myself and just want to get to my destination instead of being a captive audience for someone that thinks they have a future in entertainment…

I didn’t know that Saturday Night Live operated an airline.
I’ve heard some folks refer to the flight attendants on Southwest as Comedy Club wannabees or Zanies rejects.
From what I’ve heard, the goal is to get people to listen to the safety presentation. American Airlines uses a safety video and I’ve observed over time that almost nobody watches it.

Actually, having sat through too many Amtrak “let’s introduce you to every single member of the crew and let them talk until they run out of anything to say…and then some” announcements*, I’d be perfectly happy with a few doors popping open.
*All the brevity of the Academy Awards and all the talent of Tuesday Night Karaoke.
