Happy Festivus--Off Topic

I saw this on “Ky Yahoo Railfan” and just had to post it here. May everyone on these forums be blessed with a Merry Christmas!! I have truly enjoyed being here with such great people learning about the railroad.

The Story of Festivus, for those not in the know, as told by Frank
Costanza to Cosmo Kramer.

Well many christmas’s ago I went to buy a doll for my son. There was
only one doll left and as I reached for it, so did another man. And
as I rained blows upon him i knew there had to be an easier way.

What happened to the doll?

It was destroyed, but out of this came a new holiday, ‘a festivus for
the rest-of-us’!

Kramer:“That must of been some doll”

Frank:“SHE was!”
So this Thursday, don’t forget to get out the pole, warm up for
the “feats of strength” and of course lets not forget to air our
grievances to everyone we meet and have a joyous Festivus for the
rest of us.

It will probably take a Festivus miracle for that not to happen here. By the way, this holiday is out there.

I think we watch too much Seinfeld.

To all those who like to RIDE passenger trains:

An Xmass and New Year’s wish for YOU!

May you enjoy many, many train rides.

May the track and roadbed be smooth.

The termperature just right and the scenery beautiful.

The fellow passengers friendly and interesting.

The food delicious and served on time with smiles.

The equipment clean, comfortable, and convenient.

The interiors worthy of Loewy, F. L. Wright, and Dreyfuss,
or Beebe, Clegg, and Wagons-Lits.

And the whistle and the wheels on the rails be to you,

Like a Mozart or Beethoven string quartet is to me.

And may you enjoy them in good health and good spirits! Dave

Merry Christmas Brian.

Aluminium has a very high strength the weight ratio.

“Another Festivus miracle!”

Is the exclamation mark the aluminum pole?

Here are a couple of other quotes from Kreamer:
“This holiday is scratching me right where I itch.”
“This holiday is a bit out there.”
