Just a diorama built by my son and me
And just in time for Trick or Treat tonight! LOL
Great job on the diorama.
Happy Halloween!
Looks Wikkid Awsome!!![:P]
Great looking diorama! Happy Halloween to all! I have the fortune of being born on Halloween. Happy birthday to me!
You too eh! I was born on Halloween too!
[bday]
Now that is an idea I wish I had thought of, and maybe I will. Nicely executed.
Well, that makes three of us here born on Halloween…
BXCARMIKE, that is a very nice piece of work. I especially like the tree limb and the broken porch roof and column. I don’t think many kids will venture up that driveway tonight.
Tom
That is a cool pic, I only hate to see a '55 Chevy rust up like that, Could you make that a Ford Pinto or something? LOL Excelent work, Happy Halloween BOO Mike
Thanks all, and happy Birthday to the Halloweeners, as for the '55, a friend had a '56 when we we teens and it was beat up like that then, back in '67 I think, basically a field car, but it was fun.
Happy Halloween! Looks fantastic. Why don’t you add some pumpkins? Anyone know a good way to model pumpkins and better yet Jack-O-Lanterns (carved)?
Great scene! It really sets off the holloween spirit.
Oakie, walk in to your local Michael’s/Kmart/JoAnnes’s tomorrow and buy them at 75% off tomorrow…(lemax).
Very nicely done I say enter it in a contest. If I may ask is that a Malibu Chevy? and how did you remove all the headlights etc?
Busch makes a “Pumpkin Patch” with 80 pumpkins … available in Walthers catalogue …
That Busch pumpkin patch must be pretty cool…I sold three of them this past month…customers liked it!
No word, though, on if the box contains an HO scale Linus passed out after seeing Snoopy rising from the sincere patch!
Happy Birthday to those who were born on this day. A computer data deal says the probability is that I was conceived on Halloween…which explains a lot… [}:)]
And the original post of the haunted house…(nice work btw!) reminds me of my own hobby shop “horror” story:
Just before I got my store, I wanted this very same Model Power haunted house kit because it looked a lot like a house on the street where I lived as a very little kid. I went in to my local model train shop to special order it. (he didn’t stock the “toyish” brands)
He said he would not special order for me. Said he would not even allow a Model Power product in his store. True story.
Hopefully none of this post comes across as advertising. Just trying to stay out of trouble on this eve.
Wow, that’s a silly thing to do. I’ve got Baldy’s Barber Shop and I think it came out very well, particularly with the interior detail and lighting in the kit. It compares favorably with my DPM buildings, and it was a bargain to buy.
I guess the moral is that you can make any kit look old and beat up if you just work hard enough at it. The haunted house is just a really nice example of that theory.
