Kids – be nice, be careful, no tricks, take a flashlight and a sack for your candy but leave the TP and soap at home.
Adults – be nice also, and treat the kids with candy. Treat em don’t trick em. [:p]
I plan to give out candy tonight to return the favor I received as a kid. [:)]

Joe , yes, very good idea.
I just got back from wallyworld and have quality checked several pieces of the items I am giving out. I am not 100 % sure I can give them my stamp of approval just yet. But after several more checks of each kind of candy I might come around and put my stamp of approval on them. You can never be tooooooo careful, you know. [:D]
So I asked my neighbor what he’s doing for Halloween, because the only decorations he put up is a scarecrow up on his roof a few weeks ago. He said that he did that to de-sensitize the local kids. They have seen it on the roof for a few weeks…but tonight, he is going to take it down, dress exactly like it and sit up there when they come by…hee, hee, hee[:D]. We’ll be hearing srcreams down the street.

I grew up in a small rural town. One of the country tricks was moving the outhouse back about 10 feet. Yes there were still a few around. Not much in use but still around. So the farmers would take to sitting in them at Halloween. Of course he had a little surprise for anyone attempting to turn the outhouse over. As time went on the kids learned to sneak up from behind the outhouse and then turn it over. With or without the farmer inside.
Another country trick ( BUT NOT FUNNY IN THE LEAST ) is setting a large round bale of hay on fire and rolling it downhill. This of course could have very undesirable consequences. At the least it is a loss of good hay and I am sure the cows didn’t think it was funny.
One of the annual Halloween traditions where I grew up was stuffing a scarecrow and “hanging” it from the telephone lines in front of the general store.

Did some scaring at my parents house.The people would drop the kids off at the park by the vanfull.one year i had creatures dropping from the trees the next year as they are looking in the trees the creatures come out of the ground or bushes[:D](scared some parents too)[:)]
as far as matts candy its a tough job someone has to do it![:p]

Hee Hee Hee. I think we enjoy Halloween as much as the kids do.
One time I was flying out overseas and we stopped at an Air Force Base for gas. As we pulled in, the taxi light lit up the lineman who was wearing a skeleton suit with reflective bones…it was a hoot.
Last year we told our kids we were taking one tenth of there candy as Halloween Tax…my son exclaimed that it was taxation without representation, we told him to get used to it as we pulled out all of the Reeses.
I haven’t done this myself, but a great thing to do on All Hallows Eve is to dress yourself up as a stuffed dummy and scare the people that come. A good idea if you do this would be to hold a bowl of candy with a sign that says “Take Two”. Sit perfectly still and when a kid tries to grab a handfull, yell “it says only two kid!”
13 episodes of Simpsons Halloween specials on tape and a 6-pack of Ski* for me tonight.

[}:)][}:)] We don’t live in an area with alot of children, although there are a few adaults I can think of that would fit mentally, so we just get together and watch the Rocky Horror Picture show with all the trimmings at the theatre. Happy Halloween everybody [8D][}:)][}:)]
