I just scored an E7 CB&Q from Standard Hobby for $140.00
I don’t know why BLI merchandise is almost 1/2 priced at a few hobby shops, but i’l take the savings.[:p][^][:o)][:I][:D]
Good for you guy. I recently scored a BLI class A from Tony’s Train Exchange for $240. I was a little pissed when Trainworld announced they slashed their’s down to $209. [:(]
Good for both of you! I wish somebody would put the mikes on sale. I guess I’ll just have to be patient.
Have Fun,
Tom Watkins
The sad thing is they are all still making money even at these reduced prices. Makes you wonder how much mark-up there is on the loco’s.
You think Life likes new release’s might have something to do with the price There E7’s are on the shelves with the same sound system as BLI. BLI might be the biggest dog but it;s not the only dog anymore I own several BLI products and will remain a loyal customer untill someone produces something better or the same thing at a reasonable savings with the same level of quality. Also p2k Gp9’s are due to hit at any time with qsi sound,I think BLI made a mistake pushing back the SW’s in favor of higher priced steam.I have a been waiting for that switcher ever since it was announced come on BLI GET ER DONE.
The E7 is my second BLI purchase. I have the Hudson, and mine is fantastic. It’s 2 years old and running great. Except for the hooky looking weight on the front truck, I love the loco. Your right about the stiff compitition though. Everybody wants your money.
I think Railguyho has nailed it. There are now some other dogs on the porch. Which will be the big dog??? I love my BLI’s and wouldn’t trade them. However, their price limits what I can do. If some competition came into this, I think all of the manufacturers could do well. Let’s see what the market can bear!
