This year, I’m taking you on a visit to The Man’s home, so enjoy the trip and have a safe and sane Forth of July. (Even if “safe and sane” isn’t much fun! [;)])
My American Israeli friend and I enjoyed watermelon at breakfast this morning as an unusual departure from a normsl breakfast in honor of the 4th, and I made a special lunch for myself as well, wirh the fish I usually reserve for dinner.
My own prayers are modified as well, following how my NYCity Congregation observes the 4th. Quiettly, so as not to disturb the Yeshiva’s normal Sunday routine.
The weather is cooperating with a just-right temperature and a soft breez.
