I hope that all of the wives, girlfriends, and daughters had a great day. I took my wife, mother-in-law, and daughter out to lunch for Mothers Day. It was a restaurant that was a former Southern Railway freight station in Winston-Salem. Please, remember those women who have taken care of us and supported us while we create our model railroading empires. Sometimes it is hard to make enough time for model railroading and family. But, family should come first (even if only by a nose) over our hobby.[Y]
I agree. My mother passed away in 1985 at the age of 74.
Today, in her honor, I created, served, and cleaned up after, a brunch for nine people.
Seven of them were mothers. The other two were, well…
So Happy Obligatory Amenity Day to us all. Family comes first…regardless.
And a special thank you to the mothers, wives and girlfriends that work with us, support us or at least let us do our thing without complaint.
My mother loved trains, she’d love helping with scenicing the dream layout I have in mind.
Thank you ladies,
Richard
I actually spent Mother’s day being the Caboose Host on a local (Steam) tourist line. That was a pretty good way to spend the day.
