Safe travels and a great holiday everyone!!!
Too late, turkey coma has commenced…
Best wishes to all
We had our annual Thanksgiving dinner here at the old folks home. Lots of slow moving walkers in the hallway afterwards.
My Yeshiva in Jerusalem does not observe the holiday, although there are local rabbis who advise that Israelis should observe this Amterican holiday. This year is the first that I have read that. But I have always observed Thanksgiving ever since moving to Jerusalem, following the practices of my New York City congregation as closely as possible. But no turkey. I am a vegetarian. And I am also lucky that my main meal of the day was with friends, even if they did not observe the holiday. And the food I ate was just fine and delicous, with my bringing my own fish to the table.
And a Happy Thanksgiving to you David, and everyone else!
Just keep up your positive and sterling influence David, and I’m sure the Yeshiva will be celebrating Thanksgiving before you know it!
