Happy Thanksgiving to one and all

This is truly a time to give thanks for family, friends, and all of the blessings that we enjoy. It is the time of year to think about those who are less fortunate than us. Although it is sad that we do not think of others as much as we should except at this time of year. I am as guilty of this as anyone.

I am thankful for my wife of almost 30 years and our beautiful daughter. I am thankful that I have a job that allows me to live comfortably. I am thankful for family members and friends who are there for me in good times and in not so good times. I am thankful for the great country in which we live and for those who give so much to defend our freedom.

Here is wishing a Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and your family.[:D]

We Americans can have almost anything we want, yet we are rarely thankful.

JLK, sadly, truer words were ever spoken. Luckily, I’ve lived long enough to be appreciative of the people, things, etc. in life. I hope you and yours have a very Happy Thanksgiving. And when you say your prayers, thanking the Lord for all of our blessings, I hope you’ll also remember our servicemen and women who won’t get to spend the holidays with their families.

… and I always thought, that we Germans are world´s champions in ranting, kvetching and being ungrateful.

I am thankful for all the friends I have gained through this forum, for all the good advice I have received and the support given to me in bad times.

A happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

Thank you, and a Happy Thanksgiving to all from my little spot on a beautiful hill.

There are so many things to be thankful for and as mentioned we often let them go unmentioned. I had 37 years of doing what I wanted and enjoyed it through good times and bad. Though it ended with a bit of a bump, I was thankful to get out with my finincial shirt still on (though a bit tattered) and in good health.

Just this year I have been thankful that the newsworthy storms in the Northeast, left us alone. Only five miles away peoples homes were washed away…

Due to other family commitments we will not feast until tomorrow, so it’s off to the layout for a little R&R and to reflect on all that I have to be thankful for.

My best to all of you, whether celebrating our holiday or not.

Richard
