Harriman Passenger Cars and Operations

These are coaches are run as second-hand for use on a car ferry during nice weather or they can be run on a common carrier by a run-through agreement if the weather doesn’t allow the car ferry to operate. This is mid 1970s era that the cars operate.

Just to be sure we’re on the same page…this is a 1970s “Amtrak era” operation, using c.1910 passenger cars being moved on a small ferry, but they can also get where they’re going via another (I presume freight only) railroad also?

Basically yes. However, these cars wouldn’t connect with Amtrak. If the passengers need to connect to Amtrak there is another station/line to use.
