Harrison: Canadian Pacific interested in regional acquisitions

Frankly, EHH’s policies for the CPR have been slash and burn and short term profit increases. Doesn’t seem to have a plan for the future.
From the view of a longtime employee of BNSF, we are happy to take the traffic he doesn’t seem is important. Traffic? Here in North Dakota, that would be crude oil shipments and grain.

EHH apparently doesn’t care about either. My sympathies to my brothers/sisters who have been stuck with him.

The Wall Street Journal reports last week three C.P. derailments and oil spills in as many months. Maybe time to get the track and signals up to the task of hauling the new oil and other tonnage.

If a bridge was replaced at Prairie Du Chein Wi/Marquette Ia , the CP could link up with the W & S and link the former Milwaukee Road route together.

Anyone one who goes after the KCS had better bring lots of cash as they will pay through the nose.

I agree Ken Packard - EHH’s comments smack of misdirection especially when you consider what rail lines are left to pickup these days. Just read what’s going on with “NASCO” Plenty of North/South activity going on. The system of inland ports is expanding from Mexico’s Pacific ports north through the western US and into Western Canada. CP wouldn’t even have to acquire KCS to create a very profitable partnership…
