Really? sigh…
Harrison seems to question anyone who opposes the merger, but then we all must remember that some people consider him the ’ Einstein ’ of railroading, and why would anyone question his judgement ?
you would think he would have talked to his friends before making such a move, if they were friends. EHH: Donald Trump of railroading?
Guess EHH has not been around Memphis or Fed Ex recently? About in 2000 when Fed Ex bought out Ark Freightways and got into the OTR freight business as well as the Air Freight businesses. Now we see more and more of their trailers, and containers riding the rails( BNSF) through South Central Kansas… Right along with JB Hunts, and Fed Ex… most of their ’ rides’ are on ’ paid-premium trains’ . Maybe that is the “Hog” that EHH want to" bar-b-que" for his line???
Shippers (and probably some employees as well) would appreciate it if E would gain some knowledge of railroads
FedEx went intermodal when they found they could not hire, train , and retain enough CDL drivers. Now that they use rail they looked at CP’s recent track record with intermodal and did not like what they saw.
I am beginning to think EHH is upset with anybody who doesn’t agree with his ideas. The Donald Trump of the railroad industry. Attack and question anybody who disagrees with his master plan. Time for him to go back to the farm and shovel something he can handle.

I have been thinking long and hard about this CP/NS thing. Maybe EHH should watch PBS and catch up with Thomas and his friends on Sodor ? And when he advances past that he can play with Brio’s and Lionel trains. It will teach how trains work and learn to play and work well with others. Like my mom said never play with bullies they grow up into not so nice adults…lol
Mergers will be coming to NS and CSX or they will need to figure out an acquisition plan themselves for KCS, FEC and maybe even the hunted become the hunter for CP or CN to become corridor railroads while they continue to turn over rail to short lines and regionals.

The day of big heavy well paying short hauls of coal are over, servicing natural gas industry is limited and they haven’t come close to making a dent on the short haul Eastern freight traffic carried by trucks no matter how much they believe a CDL driver shortage will magical create them traffic.
Is there anyone or anything FOR this living abortion of a proposed merger OTHER THAN EHH and his ego? Who hasn’t told him to go pound sand so far?

Jim…I was just hoping that EHH would learn to play well with others. Since his business approach is like a little weasel on the playground a organized play structure might help ?
