How old is this atlas?
I suspect the barge service from Mobile is the Gulf Caribe Maritime service (which I understand goes to the CHEMEX facility in Ponce). Their office is at 251 St. Anthony St. in Mobile (36603), but they’re supposed to be moving the office to Pensacola sometime early next year, I believe in conjunction with the Delta Mariner operations.
There is a CSX Lines (which bought Sea-Land, and then spun it off as Horizon Lines last year), but they’re headquartered in North Carolina. They have a 22% share of the overall market to Puerto Rico – but I think it’s barge/ship traffic and containers, not railroad barges.
