This a.m. modelrailroader.com forum was gone from my pc favorites list. Had a hard time getting back on here. Is this an occcasional action taken by the owners, when they’re tweaking the forum or just a random glitch? TTFN…papaHOsmurf in NH
The “favorites” list in your web browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera or whatever you are using) are purely local to your PC. So if you by “gone” mean that the entry was not on the list, then that is a local problem on your PC (or a fumblefingered user - happens occationally to all of us
If you by “gone” mean that the entry was on your favorites list, but when you clicked on it, the web page did not come up, and you got some kind of error message - then that might have been something temporarily down on Kalmbach’s servers this morning.
Either way it is not hard to get back - you can enter e.g. http:///www.modelrailroader.com, http://www.trains.com or http://cs.trains.com/ to get back to respectively the MR web site, the trains magazine web site or directly to the community server (i.e the forums).

THANK YOU! I , obviously, did finally manage to get back on. Now think my problem may have been my internet/ mail server [ fairpoint.net ], because they installed a web mail upgrade recently and many folks have been having various problems. TTFN…papaHOsmurf in NH
Yep, a clumsy attempt by your ISP trying to update the favorites lists in your browser from some program they get you to run (from a web page or whatever) could also result in the favorites list being messed up on your computer.
