How do you get the shell off of a Bachmann Spectrum Dash 8 40C ??? I’ve looked everywhere on the forums and the net and can’t figure it out. I’m afraid if I pry it too hard it will break.
Hey Noob… There’s two screws that hold the fuel tank in place.(phillips) When you remove the tank, there’s two more phillips srews that hold the body to the frame.Unscrew those and the shell lifts right off. That is a split frame design. Be careful when you unscrew the screws that seperate the frame sides. The power runs through the side frames if it’s DC. If you have any more questions, E-mail me. If you bought it new, it should have come with a diagram and parts list. If it didn’t , let me know, I can E-mail you a copy of mine.(mines a CSX, what’s yours?)
