Have any of you seen this?

Have any of you ATSF seen a brass GE U30CG?

Are you asking us or ATSF locomotives? Very confusing.

Hallmark and Overland both imported brass U30CGs. I believe Caboose Hobbies has one or two of the Hallmark units.

What scale?

Wasn’t there a Minitrix model in N scale plastic?

I have seen several made by OMI (OVERLAND)

In another thread, he said he was HO. I wished somebody would finally produce them in plastic for us HO scalers.

Minitrix did produce a U30CG in plastic in the 70’s. They are readily available at swap meets, train shows and train shops. They were issued in ATSF warbonnet, BN green and black and PC black,

No offense–because I feel your pain–but I never understood while Minitrix picked such an oddball diesel to produce in N scale! I figure it sold only to (a) ATSF fans, and (b) the train-set folks who didn’t know any better.

Of course, if you needed one, it was a godsend!

Hey i’ve noticed something funny around here lately, it seems to be becoming more of a grammer and composition or sarcastic put down forum then about trains, i guess that old adage " if you can’t say some thing nice (or for that matter informative) don’t say any thing at all, sorry just my opinion.

A little bit sensitive there? Yes I think so. sorry just my opinion

If somebody did them in HO, say Athearn Genesis quality, it would have to be a fairly limited run since it was not that widely used locomotive. The demand is there, but I would assume limited at best. I can see with something like this where the BLI/PCM mentality of waiting for a certain number of pre-orders would be best. Maybe somebody could do a resin shell…

Absolutly you are right, i am sensitive, being as i am not the worlds greatest speller or wordsmith, and as i ask some dumb questions as i am newer to the hobby, then yes you bet i am sensitive, and as the world is a fairly rude place i don’t see the need to add any more on this forum, just really no need for it, think about it!.

Sometimes it is difficult to understand the ‘jist’ of the poster’s post to actually make an approprate reply. It is best to keep your thoughts clear and your questions as such. Tis the time of year where this forum gets hordes of non-clear posts and questions.
