Having a problem with this site from Firefox...

I’ve had some bizarre things happen when I go to this site in Firefox. On my laptop, which I’m using right now from work, it keeps giving the following Page Load Error:

Redirect Loop

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

The browser has stopped trying to retrieve the requested item. The site is redirecting the request in a way that will never complete.

At home, on our home machine, it will not let me login period.

This behavior just started happening. The only way I’m able to access right now is by using IE 6.0 which is on my laptop.

Anyone else running into problems with Firefox?

None at all been using Firefox for a year

I’ve been using Firefox for years, and have always accessed this site from there. It’s just this week that this problem cropped up. Considering that I haven’t changed a thing on either machine, and that each machine has different configurations, well, something must have changed elsewhere.

Tried it on Firefox at work with no trouble, when I was at home at noon, tried it on Firefox from there and no trouble. Using a Mac at both places, normally running Safari.

Using Firefox on PC, no problem. Did notice Firefox did an update yesterday. Current version I have is 3.0.6 2009

I use FireFox For CTT and the “other” forum with no problems at all. [tup]

You are not alone.

I have to access this program using Internet Explorer on my home computer.

When I use Firefox I get everything except this program’s Mast Head, also I’m unable to communicate with forum members. This problem with Firefox has been a couple of months and is still continuing.

It’s not Firefox, it’s your ISP. It is that simple.

I’m at home now, and it seems to be working fine off of our home computer. So that problem has been resolved. We’ll see what happens with my laptop tomorrow.

No, it’s not. If you read my original post, I had problems both at work (fiber) and at home (Comcast). With over 20 years programming computers, I can at a minimum diagnose commonalities that can lead to problems like this.

Using SeaMonkey (Firefox’s sister software) here, and everything is fine… and on dial-up, no less.

I’m also having this problem, but only at work. Home and work have the same isp and both use Firefox. Exact same error message .

I use FireFox with no problems except the word processor is very slow to load when I want to post. If you are using FireFox addons you might check to see if one of them is blocking the site. I use Adblock Plus and I disable it for this site.

Bump.

Been in a class all week, so haven’t been logging in except off the home computer. Anything new on this?

I believe somethiing has changed on the servers for this site. The links that I have used to get to this site for over a year would not work today or yesterday. Even the links in the emails I receive from responding to forum threads will not work.

I went through a link from an email received today form Model Railroad Magazine and it worked fine. I am checking out the urls now to see if I can find the difference.

When I click on a thread I can never make the “back” button work. I have an Imac using OS10 and always use Firefox for a browser.

Well, the redirect problem seems to have resolved itself since I last tried to login off of my laptop over a week ago. However, the login boxes on the main thread screen don’t seem to work - the only way I could get on was to press the Login hyperlink and use the login screen.

I have been using firefox for the past couple of days on my laptop because my main computer is at the computer doctor aka repair man and I have had no problems with this site or fourm.
