Having fun building kits

]Hello I would like to show you pics of a DPM kit I built. I’m not into craftsman kits yet, it will come one day…

Any comments are appreciated (It’s the way to go ahead and learn).

Thank you

excellent work!!!

Very nice work. The exterior lighting is very effective. So are the big shop windows in front.

I enjoy building structure kits during the winter months in front of the TV, too. tehn like to see what I can do to detail and “super detail” them. then I weather them.

Great job!

Excellent lighting!!

Excellent extra detailing!!

BUT, BuT, BUT…its “too CLEAN”!!!

It needs to be “weathered” and “aged” some!!!

This is nice! Great job!

Excellent work, and you even got the lighting right - too many times peopel run the lights on 12 volts because they say 12 volts, and they are far too bright. Those cast a nice cone of light under the fixtrues and light things up just the right way.

Hello, thanks guys for you comments, they are greatly appreciated.

It’s fun to work on my layout in the basement but I’m all alone down there, for sure my wife encourages me but I need some feedback from other model railroaders.

Thank you.

That’s a really nice model. I’m also a fan of taking simple kits like DPM or City Classics structures and adding details and lighting to make them unique.

How did you do the awnings? They are particularly nice.

Hello Mister Beasley, I have no merit for the awnings they came with the kit, I just painted them Forest Green.

Thank you for the encouragement.
