He almost made the train

BERLIN (Reuters) - A German man’s severed finger traveled 60 kilometers by rail after its owner trapped his hand in the door trying to board a train at the last minute, police said Tuesday.

Doctors said they were confident they could reattach the finger to its 34-year-old owner after it was rushed back to Freiburg in an ambulance.

That’s extremely sad. But I just wonder how he could have done that…

The article I read said that the finger was discovered lying on the floor by passengers on the train.

Those must be pretty vicious doors over there–I’m sure that you could pull your finger back out of a closed door on a Metra coach.

It is Germany, its the teeth in doors that get you…“Zat Vil Teech Yu NOT Tu Be Late” [;)]

Hope they can help the poor guy.

I bet he will not try that again.

Sue! Sue! Sue!

Oh, sorry, I’m from California [:)][:D].

Ouch!
I cant imagine the pain he must have been.

Some passengers just try too hard to catch the train, there is usualy always another train in an hour or less. When I was in Germany this guy pryed a door open just before it locked while the train was moving on departure that I was on, it looked like a dangerous and stupid thing to attempt. He did get on, not with my help because I’m not getting injured helping a fool like that. And when he got on he found out it was the wrong train. Trains accelerate fast over there.

Gives new meaning to “giving 'em the finger!”.

And no Wendy’s in sight. Sad[}:)][}:)]

Well, part of him made the train.

Sorry I can’t resisit but how can this happen unless he’s a “tool of the day”. I don’t know the whole story but how can you loose a finger in the door by passively taking the train.
