I’ve been around this hobby for a good many years, and I’ve just lately run into what I consider a problem with the ready-to-run Athearn SD45T-2 and the headlights on the front end of the locomotive. The rear headlight lights readily when backing up, but the front ones take a pretty hefty throttle setting to light up at all!!! Anyone have any ideas on how to cure this?? I’m running strictly DC on a PBL FSS-II Sound Throttle.
Do I have to repower the unit with the Proto Power can motors and put the Railway Engineering light module into it the way I’ve done all my other Athearn units?? Appreciate any thoughts you might have.
Thanks,
