There’s been a major terrorist attack in Mumbai India, including at a train station. And according to Fox news the FBI now says there’s a credible threat of Al Qaeda doing suicide bombing on commuter trains here. And of course we all know what this means for us[:(!]. Make sure you have clean underwear on because you may get strip searched for taking photos of trains the next week or so[:P]

Something else i caught on Fox recently. On one airing of Red Eye they did a search of NYC to find out where all of the law enforcement officers were (people were saying they don’t see them much). At the station they told a security guy they explained what they were gonna do, including take pictures of trains. And the guard said they couldn’t do it without an Amtrak escort[banghead] .Sigh.

In these days, with cameras built into such common items as cell phones, anyone could get as many pictures of just about anything as he might wish without anyone in the area even noticing it was happening. After all, you hardly need Trains Magazine quality photographs of some train station to serve as a visual aid to plan a terriorist strike.

So much of what occurs is simply security theatre.

I’m going to keep taking pictures…what will happen will happen. I have nothing to hide…so if law enforcement wants to search then go right ahead.
