Hello, everyone!

Forever Kansas Citian; adopted Philadelphian. I’ve called Philly home for nearly 42 years.

I live in the city’s Germantown section.

My special passion is for local rail transit — trolleys/light rail/subways (note my handle) — but I’m also interested in railroading in general.

I’m also a journalist. They know who I am at SEPTA headquarters, and Philadelphia magazine readers learn about real estate and transportation from me. Here’s one of my recent essays on the latter.

Hello ,everyone! American Flyer favorite railroad is the Pennsylvania.

Well, a big Hello to all !
I am in So Cal. Interested in:
PRR, Santa Fe, Rio Grande, UP, all things on rail.
Also, Swiss trains and railroading
Japan trains and railroading
G gauge garden railroading
Toy trains 0 and S
H0 brass
N gauge
Photography, many years of railfanning
did I leave anything out?
I just like trains…

Mike Woodside here. In Arkansas, but I have a brother in So Cal. He is a SOLID railfan. Retired from civil service. Lives in California City. He bought a lot in Tehatchapi, adjointing RR ROW. He is active in the local museum there and was a part of the push to get an Official (local officials) Overview Display and viewing area of the loop. Were you a RR employee? Should you go to Tehatchapi, let me know so as to have a personal greeting from my brother. endmrw0125251204

Thank You, I’ll keep that in mind. I was out your way in 1990, we chased the Cotton Belt 819 . That was a really neat engine ! I shot slides and movies. Times have changed…

Greetings from a retired 35-year employee of the Santa Fe Engineering Dept.
I was a party chief when SantaFe built the Williams - Crookton line change in 1959 -1960 and then retired as Mgr.Real Estate and Contracts in 1990.

All the way with Santa Fe!

Welcome.

I think Kelly was a frequent poster on the old forum, IIRC with the handle of Diningcar.

Nice to see him on the new forum.
