Helm Pacfic (HPJX) Woodchip Gondolas Use and Heritage

Saw an NS Manifest that had a large amount of HPJX and MWCX former Woodchip Hoppers.

What are these cars used for and what are the HPJX Cars heritage? I know the MWCX Cars are BN, but what about the Helm Cars.

The pictured car was formerly UP 147152 as identified UMLER (Universal Machine Language Equipment Register)

The HPJXx car in the top pic is also a former UP car.
