Have been having a problem finding 1950-1960’s fire engines, hook/ladders and pumpers. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you consulted the Walthers Catalog or checked on eBay? Both have multiple examples of what you are looking for.

Boley and Athearn both make models of fire engines that may include ones used during the time you’re interested in, but Walthers doesn’t list Athearn products. For them, go to Athearn’s web site.
There are a number of modeling websites that either deal with fire truck modeling or have sections devoted to it. There is also one devoted specifically to HO scale vehicle modeling.
One trick I’ve found helpful when looking for information of fire trucks is to use the term Fire Apparatus - this is how firefighters refer to their vehicles.

Thank you all for the input…I have tried Walthers and ebay w/no luck. Walthers actually has some but all are back ordered and no clue when they w/be in…will change my terminology when doing a search to “apparatus” and see where they takes me, and also try some other modeling websites. thank you, Drouin2
A search for 1950s fire trucks. Brings back memories of my struggles. Although this was more then 12 years ago. Anyway here are suitable models that I found.
Alloy Forms
A nice looking and accurate model. However it is fairly difficult to build and must be painted. Back when I was searching for 50’s fire trucks my modeling skills were no where close to where I am now so the kit may not be as daunting, at least to me, anymore. Of course out of stock at Walthers but you may try other places on line.
Busch
They make excellent La France fire trucks (both a pumper and ladder truck). These are perfect for 1958 to the 1970s. In fact a similar ladder truck was used in the movie Mad Mad World (1963). These are the trucks I ultimately went with. I chose the open cab because, well first that’s all Busch had back then, and second I model Southern California. Unfortunately there are no open cab red versions in stock at Walthers. I’m not sure if Busch has made red versions (open cab) for a while now. I should add that my versions are from Praline (previous Busch). Might try an ebay search for Praline vehicles.

Not sure about this company as I just found it. Looks r
