I had some videos on my hard drive, but lost them and I can’t remember where I downloaded them from.
I think it was some guy that posted long cabride videos of dash9 or a similar GE locomotive. I think it was CP but not sure. It’s really long and quite good in quality.
Anyone have any idea about the adress? It isn’t on the google, at least I didn’t find it there…
p.s. In case you don’t know, do you know of any other cabride videos posted on the internet?
I hate it when that happens… Try Google…
I’ve tried google and yahoo, and nothing. I think it was one of those sites that aren’t quite searchable in terms of design, or maybe it’s not registered on google…
The site was all black and had these clips, I think each one was like 80 megs or so.
I remember one specific scene where there were some crows on the hood of the locomotive just in front of the windshield eating something.
Then I remember a long tunnel, and some woods.
The first clip starts when the shooter first boarded the engine, it was dark. The engine was a GE for sure. Either dash9 or AC4400CW. It was either CP or BNSF.
I think it was originally linked on this forum last year and that’s probably how I found it. But I can’t find anything in the archives either.
The clips were in sequels, and I think they were like 15-20 minutes each. The sound was high quality I think (the file itself), though it was from a camcorder.
I think the whole trip was recorded with time cuts. All from the cab, with some ocasional exterior shots when the train stoped.
Those were the best free clips on internet that I’ve seen. Surely someone still has them on their HD here, or remembers the site? Anyone?
I’ve found them.
Just in case anyone else is interested, here they are:
www.mountainrailway.com
check it out. There are great long cabrides of modern CP locomotives.
