Hi my name is Andrew and I am 21 years old and have just applied for a conductor trainee job for BNSF. The questions that I have are what kind of questions will be asked during the interview (that is the biggest one). Also, i was wondering what kind of pay the BNSF conductor trainees get. And laslty, I know the work schedule is crazy, but if you are at your away terminal for a night, are you at your home terminal for a night after that? And somewhere i heard that if you work for a straight week that there is some time off. Any answers to my questions will be helpful. Thank you and God bless. Andrew
These would all be great questions to ask at your interview. Remember they are interviewing you but you also are interviewing them. Is this some place you want to work as well as are you someone they want to work for them. Good Luck and ENJOY
I just had a CP and a CN interview.
In the interview CP asked me 5 behavioral type questions and that was pretty much it. They offered us $710 Cdn training per week at our school campus.
In the CN interview they asked 4 behavioral questions and 5 “What would you do?” scenario type questions. Their starting wage was $800 Cdn training and paid accomodations/food for the duration of the classroom training.
