hola bob me podrias alludar recien estoy arrancando con esto de los trenes gracias
[:D][:D]

Jo hablo Espanol bastante bien, pero jo no lo escribo mui bien. Voy a tratal.
(I speak Spanish quite well, but don’t write it very well but I will try)

Come esta empensando? Tiene usted un ferrocarrill en miniatura ja echo? Oh tienes locomotoras y wagones? Si teine, que marka esta comprando?
(How are you starting out? Do you have a model railroad? Or do you have locomotives and cars? If so, what brands are you buying?)

Que tamano? O, HO, N?
(Which scale? O, HO, N?)

You guys mexican?

My parents: Cubans that came to the U.S in the 1950s. I was born in New York and lived there long enough to see the New Haven, Penn Central, Long Island Railroad, and the birth of Amtrak.

I do not know which Spanish ethnic background this gentleman hails from as there are literally dozens. However I can read the dialect and looks like I can communicate with him.[;)]

Cool.

Why don’t you clowns go back to taco bell and give us a break!!!

Gtirr,

You’re the last person I expected a comment like that from. I’ve enjoyed reading your past posts. Pretty saddening and disappointing.

BTW: Who is us? Who needs a break?

We had this happen last year where a forum member of another language was actually helped by several people here. The poster was very greatful. Dont’ forget that this forum is read by people around the planet. A number of our Australian and British friends here post regularly.

If this guy is really asking for help, then it’s the right thing that his questions be answered. If he’s not being real…then it is no big deal as this topic will drift towards the back pages.

But no, while I have a sense a humor I don’t ever consider trying to help someone asking for help “clowning around”.

Peace[:D]

Well said, Antonio.

Thank you very much Dan.

On behalf of an actual foreigner, from the UK, I learn a lot from this forum as I can’t pop out and see it myself. Antonio Well said mate!

As the grandson of immigrants from Scotland and Sweden who grew up in that same New York melting pot, I’d like to thank you for the subtitles, Antonio. That lets us all learn from the discussion. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any of my grandparents native language on the Swedish side, and as for the Scots, well, I can’t even roll my R’s.

Immigration has been turned into a battleground by our goofy-Left and goofy-Right political “leaders,” (Look at me, I can play Center Field!) and by the media who are desperate for stories. Instead of listening to them, look around at the kids on the playground. You’ll see the whole United Nations out there playing soccer, baseball and lacrosse. This country is all about people from everywhere joining together and living in harmony. This forum should be the same way.

You are an embarressment to the hobby! I was born and raised in the USA, but have lived and worked in Mexico and now Canada. Remarks like that are totaly wrong! [V][V]

Everything’s cool guys, so is Gtirr.

We should keep it this way so that Bergie doesn’t have to intervene. Let’s cocnetrate on TRAINS.

If Dave chimes back in and sincerely needs help…he’ll get some suggestions. If he wasn’t serious then it’s of no consequence at all. So let’s enjoy the forum!

This is one of the most inappropriate things I’ve ever read in our reader forums, and I’ve read some adsolute trash. If you think this is acceptable behavior in our reader forum (or anywhere else in human society) you’re wrong.

You’ve got a lot of apologizing to do if you want to remain a member of this forum.

While you’re at it, why don’t you go rent the movie “Crash.” I think you could learn a thing or two.

[V] Bergie

Welcome Davidloco. Do you speak enough English so we all can be helpful. If not I trust AntonioFP45 and others will help out.

Interesting comment. My wife is half mexican and not a single member of her family works at a Taco Bell. I’m white and I have more respect for her family then I do my own. Oh and they are all working today too.

Jeremy

Sad [V]

No matter where we are from or what tongue we speak, aren’t we all talking about the same thing?? (trains?)

Yes we should be talking trains.

Welcome to the forums davidloco.

Tsk, tsk. [V]

Antonio, I recall few posts from this person that ever added much value to this forum. At least we could give him/her credit for consistency, if my memory is correct.

Antonio, what was the original question anyway. I take he is starting in the hobby and is seeking advice and you were looking for a bit of clarification. On a different note, I speak a little German but write much less so I feel your pain.
