Help needed with Santa Fe RR.

I am building an N Scale RR based on the Santa Fe, era 1960 to 1970, I am learning what I can from AT&SF websites but need help in identifying what other RRs ran on AT&SF tracks during that time frame?, any help would be greatly appreciated

I have had model RRs before but as I live in Australia I modelled HO Aussie style, modelling American RRs is a whole new learning experience for me, one that I have been enjoying a whole lot, I have much to learn.

Gday fellow Aussie!! I run AT&SF along side Union Pacific And Southern Pacific And Also Burlington Northern, I don’t model that specific Era, But These roads I’m sure shared AT&SF trackage at some point and location.

At the southwestern end of the system, the Cajon Pass (San Bernardino to Victorville, California) was a joint UP - ATSF operation, while the route from Mojave to Bakersfield, California (including the Tehacapi Loop) was joint SP - ATSF. Both are extremely attractive scenically and have been the subject of published track plans.

Due to the advantageous grade of the left hand track, part of the Cajon Pass route runs left-hand rather than the usual U.S. right-hand rule. There is a flyover north of the severe grade to get things sorted out.

Hope this helps

Chuck

Thank you for your help regarding AT&SF and other RRs, much appreciated.

Santa Fe shared some track with Wabash, later Norfolk & Western, now Norfolk Southern from Carrollton, Missouri to the Kansas City area.

In TEXAS Santa Fe gave Missouri Pacific some trackage rights.

In Illinois I often saw Penn Central and later Conrail power on Santa Fe as well as TP&W units out further west in the state.
