Help with Athearn f3 with sound

I have an athearn f3 with sound that all of a sudden quit running. Sound is still there, but will not move forward or reverse, nor will light come on. Any help much appreciated. Dave

What sound decoder is in this locomotive? No one can help without knowing that.

I think the Athearn came with the MRC decoders. Not real sure though

Try to restore the decoder to its factory default by programming a value of 1 into CV 125, and then see if it will run on address 3.

If this doesn’t correct the problem, then the decoder is probably shot, which is not unusual for these.
