This is a site that cought mt eye a couple of days ago and was wanting to know of there is anything like this but for the SP. http://www.trainweb.org/mccloudrails/index.html I found this link looking for info on some nothern californian SP routes. I combed through the whole site and was really taken back by all the info found on the page as well as some of the links posted on the website. Anywho this is a great website for any McCloud RR fan, but I was hoping there might be something like this for SP routes. All the ones I’ve found have been mostly on the history in written form with little help as far as what I am looking for. What I’m looking for are actual track diagrams or route maps as well as pictures, diagrams, drawings, maps, and information on yards, structures, industries, towns, and anything else that would be used by the SP along the routes used by them.
Gee, just Google Southern Pacific and see what happens! Also try Google Images with Southern Pacific as the search term.
Here’s a start:

Try the above link.
This site has a vast collection of Southern Pacific Information.

Since SP was larger than MCR by probably a few hundred time, I doubt you will find any website that covers the entire SP in the depth that the MCR site covers MCR. Click on the links in my signature and also check their links pages.
One possible site is http://www.socalrailfan.com it’s a forum like trains.com but is geared more for todays Union Pacific operations. There are some current UP employees that post on the So Cal site.
