My Son has requested this for Christmas,
and gave me the only thing he had, a photo.
Could any one help me find out the manufacturer and model of this locomotive?
Thank you for your time,

It’s made by roco. Here’s one in green. http://www.roco.com/prodDetails.aspx?item=63371
I don’t see a blue one on their web site.
Very nice indeed. It’s German. Known as class S 3/6 - there’s more info and photos of a preserved one here: www.deutsches-museum.de/ausstell/meister/e_s36.htm
I know Marklin have offered this as well, though as Marklin HO uses AC power and 3-rail track you’ll need to find the Trix equivelent - Trix is the brand used by Marklin to release conventional 2-rail DC/DCC locos. I know Marklin offered this loco in blue (not quite the same colour scheme, the pack one had a cream cab and cream stripe on the tender) as part of their Rheingold train pack back in 2003 - reference number for the pack was 26750. I’d suggest a look at the Trix website at www.minitrix.de though you will need to speak some German! Trix do have a USA website but this doesn’t include their European range.
Wooweee! That kid has some VERY good taste!
Yes He Does. [:)]
I LIKE IT TOO. [:D]
This was posted in the Trains.com forums earlier and I was emailing people who might know more about it. I am glad to see someone did and does.
That is one fine looking loco. [:D]
Wow that is a nice looking engine!
This BLUE bavarian S3/6 was in real a unique engine, painted in that scheme for a show in Seddin (near Berlin) in 1920 (???).
The S 3/6 were painted normal green/black and later black/red.
This Model was a special run, made by Roco in 2001. The price was about 300 Euro or near the same in Dollars.
I´m not sure that you will find one today in a LHS.
The model was packed in a wooden case. Very exclusive!!!
I find one in the german EBay Website.

GOOD LUCK !!!
Thanks to everyone for looking at this topic and replying with any information they had or had found…THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
However, looks like I will have a hard time getting ahold of one in the blue paint theme.
Well, I have 6 months to find one…If anyone comes across one and wouldnt mind bringing it to my attention (I know everyone would probaly like one) I would greatly appreciate it…and i’ll throw in $100 for doing it.
Thanks to all again,
