I remember about 10 years ago when I was a child, seeing a movie with a train scene in a hobby shop, or at home. I was 5 at the time so its difficult to remember all of it. All I remember is a person hiding in a concrete sewage pipe on a flatcar. I believe the train was on fire. The person cut away the chains holding the Concrete Pipe to flatcar and rolled down an embankment into the woods. I don’t think I was confusing this with Emporer of the North, where I may have combined the scenes of the stock car burning, the people hiding in the steel pipes on the flatcar, and the multiple times they jump off the train.
Your not confusicating it with “Emporer” in Emporer the protagonist do hide in corragated steel pipes on a flat, but they dont go rolling off the car. As for the other flick, got me? I dont recall any scene like that. Concrete pipe would indicate a modern train, Switchback? Broken Arrow?
I’m wondering if you’re not thinking of the climactic train wreck sequence in the film BROKEN ARROW with Christian Slater and John Travolta. I remember a lot of action around a flat car with some pipes. There was also a flat car with a helicopter and a 50’ cattle car involved. It was pretty exciting (and the wreck was pretty spectacular).
It’s been a long time since I saw “The Journey of Natty Gann” about a depression-era girl travelling to find her father. There is a train wreck sequence and your comment abour riding a pipe off the flatcar rings a bell. It’s a Disney movie.
