Help with tack plain and reverse loop

Ok I am going to post a like to a picture of my track plain. I need to know if my reverse loop is ok where it is. If it how should I isolate the track & wire it up? Also the picture is drawn up like my lay out but the corners and what not are layed out better then my drawing!

In theoretical terms, you would isolate the reverse loop at the two turnouts. In practical terms, your layout won’t work as drawn. You have not allowed enough space for any of the turnouts. I know you know about all the free software programs. I recommend XtraCAD, but any will do. If for some reason you can’t use those programs, invest about $12 US in an HO template. That will help you determine just what will and won’t fit where.

I have every thing laied out but my reverse loop. I was just wondering if where it started and stoped would be a problem!

FRom an electrical standpoint, no. From a operational standpoint, it brings the train through your yard. You don’t have yard lead as it stand, the loop further hampers switching.

I agree with SpaceMouse. Running the loop back into the yard is not a good idea. I would move it to left and have it connect to the main. then isolate the loop as previously described.

Can you guys show me some good picture of a yards? It would be helpful.

Thanks
