recently got a box of stuff from a friend. in this box there was a old tyco steam engine. Lubed it claened it it still whines and cant seem to get a good ele. contact any help would be great thanks
Old is a relative term. If it is a Chatanooga choo choo you have probably done more than is possible.

Take it apart and clean everything twice. Check all contact points. Don’t assume anything is clean or lined up. Check each part before reassembling. I’m on my 4th cleaning of an old engine and each time it gets better. Good luck. Also be prepared to have to replace some plastic part that is no longer the right shape.
