I have a fairly large number of HO trains, probably from the early Sixties, that I am trying to determine the value of. Can anyone tell me how I might go about determining their value? There are engines and a wide variety of cars. I believe that some were made from kits, while the rest are standard “produced” cars. Most seem to be in very good condition and in their original boxes. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Try posting this on the Model Railroader part of the web site. “Toy” trains generally denotes O/S/Standard Gauges.
Hi and welcome to the forum!
You might want to try asking on the Model Railroader forum - most of those guys are into HO and N while most on this forum are into O and S gauge.
You need to look carefully at your engines and rolling stock to determine any brand names (Mantua, Athearn, etc.) before anyone can be of much help, also from what materials are they constructed (plastic, wood, diecast metal, etc.)
Good luck!
One suggestion for determining value would be to search for the same or simmilar items on ebay and see what they are selling for.
