HELP!

I have a fairly large number of HO trains, probably from the early Sixties, that I am trying to determine the value of. Can anyone tell me how I might go about determining their value? There are engines and a wide variety of cars. I believe that some were made from kits, while the rest are standard “produced” cars. Most seem to be in very good condition and in their original boxes. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Best bet is to hover aruond the e-bay HO Train section. It may take a month or so to determine what the value maybe.

In all likelyhood, the value is going to be very low, maybe $3 - $5 per car at best. Part of the problem is, by modern standards, cars from that era need an investment to be brought up to par. With only a few exceptions, HO is not collectable, as most of it was mass produced.

The major exception is locomotives and or cars made of brass, though from your brief description, it is doubtful that you have any of those items. Also unbuilt kits are more valuable than ones that have been assembled.
